About me

I am a research scientist and software engineer. I am fascinated by seemingly non-deterministic behavior of software-controlled systems that are intended to behave deterministically. A prominent example are flaky tests that non-deterministically pass and fail. A less prominent, but maybe more impactful example is lacking reproducibility of experimental results in software engineering research.

I obtained a Dr.-Ing. degree (Ph.D. equivalent) in computer science from TU Darmstadt for my work on fault injection testing under the supervision of Prof. Neeraj Suri.

I am currently holding a research assistant position at LMU Munich, where I work with Dirk Beyer and his group. From April 2024, I will join Matthias Tichy’s group at Ulm University as an interim professor for software engineering.
